Are You A Daydream Believer?

When was the last time you found yourself completely caught up in a daydream? I remember I used to daydream all the time when I was a kid. Of course, I mostly dreamed about being a princess, but it was a daydream nonetheless.

You have many years ahead of you to create the dreams that you can't even imagine dreaming

According to the dictionary, daydreaming is:

a short-term detachment from one’s immediate surroundings, during which a person’s contact with reality is blurred and partially substituted by a visionary fantasy, especially one of happy, pleasant thoughts, hopes or ambitions, imagined as coming to pass, and experienced while awake.

Wow, sign me up for more of that!

10 Ways To Breakup With Stuff

A Little Time Out From The "Hooked On A Feeling" Series

Little did I know when I set out to write about emotions, this would trigger me to have a major breakup with my “stuff”. What I’ve found for me is that it’s difficult to really examine the heavier emotions such as fear, unworthiness and anger without feeling the need to run away and hide or throw everything I own away.

I don’t know that I’ll be able to continue the summer series since it’s made me need to take a break and evaluate how those emotions still have their “hooks” in me. I can see now they have manifested partly in my life as “stuff”.

I had started reading a book earlier this year called “The Life-Changing Magic Of Tidying Up“. Honestly, the author is hardcore and I didn’t feel like I could follow her program, but it did open my eyes and make me think about “things” differently.

Feeling Unworthy Is Unworthy Of You

If you’ve ever started thoughts in your mind with “I’m not worthy of…”, “I’m never going to be good enough for…” or “I’ll never belong because…” then you have experienced the empty and hopeless feeling of unworthiness.

The tragic undercurrent of this emotion is feeling that you are flawed and/or unlovable. Believing you are unworthy can cause you to feel alone and powerless.

The Definition of Unworthiness:

Lacking in excellence or value. Not meritorious. Undeserving. Inappropriate to one’s condition or station.

How Unworthiness Works

Unworthiness begins like any other practiced emotion. It starts with words. These words get attached to you and cause a belief to be formed. Let’s take a common word that gets associated with the feeling of unworthiness. For illustration purposes we’ll use the word “stupid” to create an unworthy thought equation.
