So many of us look outside ourselves to find happiness, but the truth is that the search needs to begin within. Learning to accept ourselves as we are and broadening our definition of happiness is critical to experiencing more happiness in our lives.

Are You Putting Off Feeling Good?
Why wait for happiness to show up when you can experience it now? If you find yourself starting off sentences with “I’ll be happy when…” or “I’ll be happy if _______ does this”, then you, my friend, have put too many rules around being happy. The truth is, you don’t need an excuse for happiness. If you’re waiting for someone to “make” you happy, then you are giving your power away.
Be Happy Now – If Even For A Split Second
Science has proven that your brain can’t tell the difference between a real experience and a manufactured one. (This is why you get scared watching scary movies). So, if you’re not feeling particularly happy at the moment, put your attention on something that makes it easy for you to be happy, like looking a photos of puppies and babies or whatever flips on your happy switch. Watch a funny movie. Daydream about a wild adventure. Go play.
Stop focusing on the thinking and things that make you unhappy and start tricking your brain into being happy. Why wait for happiness when you can just be happy?
